Description
Aim of the workshop:
To provide an overview of Research Councils’ requirements and guidance
for the preparation of Pathways to Impact and Impact Summary sections of
grant applications.

Intended outcomes / benefits from attending the workshop:
Participants will develop a better understanding of how to prepare the
impact sections of research councils’ grant applications. They will also
gain an understanding of the support available to them in preparing
these sections.

The session will cover: Research council impact policies. What the
Impact Summary and Pathways to Impact are and how they differ.

Role and experience of the workshop tutors:
Dr Ged Hall (http://www.sddu.leeds.ac.uk/people/ged-hall/) is Innovation
and Enterprise Senior Training and Development Officer. He works with
researchers from all disciplines to help them to develop and implement
plans to realise economic and societal impact. He has worked as a
technology solutions consultant, working with academics, to solve
business problems within the utility sector.
