Description
This course will consider ethical considerations with respect to
responsible authorship and peer review and
collaborative research.
Questions addressed will include: What is responsible authorship? What
obligations do researchers have to their funders, including the public?
Issues of attribution, academic freedom and interpretation, data
acquisition, sharing, management and ownership,copyright permissions,
intellectual property issues and collaborative research.
This course will be a mixture of interactive lecture and group work.
