A 'welcome' meeting for professors appointed to the University.
The meeting will be introduced and hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, and
members of the Vice-Chancellor's executive team will be present.
The aims will be:
To celebrate recent professorial appointments.
To meet the Vice-Chancellor and other members of his team and discuss
the University's strategic progress.
To initiate a discussion around the role of a professor at Leeds - in
research, learning and teaching, knowledge transfer, leadership,
academic development and strategy implementation.
To enable recently-appointed professors to meet each other and have the
opportunity to begin to form a peer group.
Refreshments will be served from 3.45 and the meeting will begin at
4.00. Drinks and canapés will be served at 6.00 when there will be the
opportunity for social networking.
