PGR Academic Writing Skills Course Level 1 (Standard)

Suitability: For international PGRs in the very early stages of their PhD study have had very limited formal English instruction and would benefit from undertaking further study to improve their ability to use basic written English more accurately. You will only be recognised as having completed the course with a minimum participation of 80% in both the classes and individual consultations. Pre-requisites: • Please do not register for this course unless you can attend all six weeks AND you will be producing doctoral writing to share and discuss in the individual writing consultations • Please ensure that you have completed Grammar Review Workshops A & B before enrolling on this course • Classes run every week on Mondays 1-2pm • Individual writing consultations are offered every two weeks, with appointments usually available Wednesdays 10am -12pm Further information...

You will only be recognised as having completed the course with a minimum 80% participation in both classes and the writing consultation. Pre-requisites: • Please do not register for this course unless you can attend all 3 days, mornings and afternoons, AND you will be producing doctoral writing to share and discuss in the individual writing consultation • You must participate in the Grammar A and Grammar B workshops either before joining this course or on the Monday and Tuesday afternoons of the intensive course.
